Drótt-scouts
"We are Drótt-scouts, why aren't you!?" Drótt-scouts are 13-15 years old and one of the liveliest age groups.
The Drótt-scout programme
Drótt-scouts are ideally 13-15 years old, and the programme is described as “working independently in groups under the supervision of leaders” (BÍS, Icelandic).
The Drótt-scout programme covers, among other things, the scout recognising their own boundaries and those of others; connecting themselves to their community; connecting themselves to the history of the country and its people; connecting themselves to the circumstances of minority groups living in the local community; and building the scout’s self-confidence.
Drótt-scout leaders work together with the scouts to plan their meetings. The aim is for the scouts to be free to decide what they want to do and for the leaders to make it happen, within reasonable limits.
Main information
Meetings are on Tuesdays from 19-21, unless otherwise announced
They are in the Skjöldungar scout house, Sólheimar 21a
We would like scouts who have made their scout promise to always bring their scarf 😊
Of course, but we ask that you let us know before the meeting
Arney, Laura and Sunna are the patrol leaders
Does your teenager belong with the Drótt-scouts?
